Final in Estonia

My Comenius experience being in Estonia was simply wonderful.It was remarkably suprising for me to see a cold country as it is.First day we arrived Rapla after a tiring journey.The family that ı stayed with was so warm despite the country's cold weather as ı could never imagine.

The next day it was so exciting to meet the other Comenious members.We watched their traditional folk dances and shows.I can say that it isn't close to our traditional dances.They displayed their performance on music and we all enjoyed.In the evening there was a meeting party at school and it was nice.We tasted their local foods,they cuisine is different from ours.

The other day we went to,capital of Estonia,Tallinn.Initially  we visited tv tower of Tallinn and we learned that this museum converted from broadcost channel.Than we called on Prime Minister's office and they welcomed us so warm.The next destination was Sea Plane Harbour that ı found really interesting.We saw many old ships and boats.After this interesting museum,we went to the Old Town which looks like jumped out from medieval ages.We did shopping but  this town was quite expensive.

The other day we went to the Road Museum that contains simulations of how the roads had been built and how important the seatbelt is.After the Road Museum we visited science museum called AHHAA.The time that ı spend in this museum remarkably wonderful.After that magnificient day,we turned our host families.

Following day,we set off to Saarema,the biggest island of Estonia.Firstly,we visited traditional windmill and than we tasted various breads in Bakery Museum which were really delicious.After lunch,we visited a great castle remained from 15th century.It contains pieces from Estonian history which illuminated us.At the end of the day we turned our bus to back Rapla.

The following day was snowy and we were in school for present our traditional cusine.We cooked our famous meal called 'Mantı' and  everybody found this meal delicious.Other Comenious members presented their foods and we tasted all of them.Actually ı liked  the most Polish cuisine.As we put down, Italian students cooked pasta and ıt was also very delicious.After presenting meals,we went out Rapla city centre with our Estonian friends and we toured around the city.İn the evening ı met with my host family's friends and they were such a kind people. Days went by like a water and we had really good time in Estonia.The last day we went to school to present our videos ıt was useful for us because we all learned our feeding behaviour and than we had a lunch in school.The day was near to finish and once for all we went to the Miss Raplamaa Beauty Contest and they were all very beautifull and talented girls.At the end of the night we got on the bus to back our country with a lot of and pleasant memories.I'll remember this country with a misty and brass monkey weather but on the other hand with a warm and hospitable people.I want to thank my teacher for this unforgettable experience that he provided me.

We went to Estonia for fifth comenius meeting. I had one of my great experiences in Estonia. It was only seven days but like a fairytale.
First day we met at school. We wondered around the school and then we had welcome ceremony. It was prepared so well. After we visited government building. We had a great party. The second day we went to capital city. It is a nice city. We went to the highest building of Estonia. It is called as TV Tower. Old Town was very interesting. The third day. We went to Tartu. It was covered with snow. We spent very good time AHHAA Science Park. We enjoyed there and learnt so many things. And we had unmemorable time. The forth day we went to Saarema Island by ferry. We visited Kuressaare Castle. Fifth day each country (Estonia, Polond, Türkiye, Italy, Bulgaria) prepared their own troditional meals. We prepared mantı and kemalpaşa. Everybody liked it so much. On the last day, we had Goodbye Party. And that night after a sad farewell, we set off. Thanks to this project, we had a lot of friends from different countries.

 

Our stay in Poland, comments by my students

In my first day in Poland , I stayed in the city called Warsaw. Then I discovered the city with my Italian and Turkish friends. Next day I met my host and we walked in Warsaw streets. After that we went to see Statue of King Sobieski but unfortunately we weren't able to see that. However, we were able to see King Sobieski's Palace which is huge and glamorous.  Then we went to Karczmiska , the town my host and his family live in. In the same day I met with my host's family and we wandered in Karczmiska. After that day, we went to our partner school and we watched the show prepared by Polish students. After show , we went to visit local governor and our teacher gave him the gifts and then we went to Kazimierz Dolny. We had lake tour ,which was nice, in there  Next day we went to Nazi Camp ,which is called Auschwitz. After that we went to best Polish city I have ever seen: Krakow. It absolutely fantastic! In this night we had an enjoying disco party. Next day we went to strange village which was cute and we saw bride and groom. Then, I hung with my friends. After that day, we went to Lublin . We walked in Lublin streets and went to shopping centre. Next day , we had train journey to unknown field and we ate sausage in unknown and mysterious field. In this night we had disco party ,again and it was our last night in Poland.
It was a fabulous experience for me. As a result , I love Poland!

POLAND

•We went to Poland with great enthusiasm. We stayed the first day at a hotel in Warsaw. We visited with our Italian friends in the capital city of Poland. Warsaw had long streets and great sidewalks.People respectful of each other in traffic. The day after Polish friends took us to the hotel. Our friends welcomed us very well. Together went to Karczmiska by bus. Although this is a small village, supermarket even existed. Everyone had a garden, a detached house in the village. The air is clean and in the forest. Polish people hospitable same as Turks. Friendly people. I've been in the house of Ewa. Her mother cook and offered different, every day. Each product who they eat is natural. Especially apples, cheeses and other everything is delicious. The one day after we gathered at the school beaceuse of perform "Tell us What You Eat" project. With each country's person has made its own local meal, and then offered. We -Turks- have made the Kısır. And we've served as a dessert Ashura.

•We went to museums in Poland. We have made a boat trip on the lake. Visited Auschwitz Nazi camp. We saw Krakow square. We went by train for a picnic. from Krakow.Bir square. Trustik places worth a visit. We danced in school disko. Participated in organized school sports tournaments. Thus was the friendship between us.

•Finally, Poland which isn't developed technology until Turkiye, people and cities worth a visit. I went abroad for the first time with this project. And I think I will go there this summer.

Comments by my students during their stay in Italy

Every one knows Italy is one of the most beautiful country in the world.With this trip we went and agreed this idea.

At first I hasitated about speaking with İtalians but I shocked when I saw those talkative and friendly peoples.We arrived school and I said to myself that it will be the perfect joutney I have ever lived. Our project's school was in Sicily. We were in an island for a week.It was not only exciting but also interesting experiment.Our island have also volcano called Etna-enormous mountain-. The first day were in Acireale which the school in.I has historical sites like everywhere in İtaly.Their school was old too.We indicated our slides and learned different recipes.After walking around the city, we went to church and centre of it. Second day we had A trip to Catania Which is neighbour city of Acireale.There are ancient sites like an old theatre there were also shops. Third day was lon g destination to Etna The eath İ covered with ash and everywgere was black W e saw some photoes about when etna was active.It was really exciting to reach the top of little volcanic hill.In the evening w.hen we came back to school the traditional foods were prepared and tasted by each others. Forth day's way was to Palermo.The old politic centre of Sicily there were big church and formerly used assembly. It was also attractive with old and regular houses along the streets. Fifth day was in Siracusa.I can say it is my favorite city in Sicily. There were an Ancient Greece Museum,Ancient Theatre Sites bridge,town centre, bakery and so on. At night there were a big pizza party event. I hope to go and see there again. by Esin Kapan Italy was the forth country in this project.We went to Rome before going to Sicily, just for one night. Rome is historical city. We saw a lot of monuments. Rome is a fascinating city with its historical places such as Collesium. The day after, we flew to Sicily. First day in Sicily, we met with our hosts then went home and rested. Second day, we went to school to present our slides about traditional foods and drinks. We presented them in school's auditorium. And we prepared a panel about our country. Then, we toured in Catania. Other days in Italy, we visited historical places, theaters. We did shopping and bought gifts for our parents. We tasted other countries' traditional foods. One day we went to Mount Etna, it was very amazing.  Italy has a lot of captivating places, buildings. All of these days were wonderful. And we have unforgettable memories! by Sedef Işık, We had special memories in Italy. At first, we arrived in Rome and looked over this historical city. The next day we went to Sicilia and were taken to the school. After we met some Italian friends, our hosts took us home. The next day we went to school and people from each country displayed their cuisines. We strolled along Acireale's streets. Otherwise we made our way to Palermo, it was a good place. And we had time to enjoy with new friends. When we set out to the Mount Etna we had chance to discover the nature and we were over the clouds. Then we went to Catania and there were nice shops, thus we were able to buy some souvenirs. The last place we went was Siracusa. There was an antique theatre and we took many good photographs. At last night we had a pizza party and had a good time with all friends. That week was a good memory for all of us. We were acquainted with warmhearted friends, different cultures and exciting places.
